Peggy Triggs Owner/Designer, CKD, CAPS
Peggy has her bachelor's degree in Interior Design and has specialized in the kitchen and bath industry since 1981. She is a certified kitchen designer, along with being a certified aging in place specialist.
Her father, who was in the cabinet business suggested that she attend a kitchen design class to round out her education. She was always strong in math and liked the attention to detail that went along with kitchen and bath design, so it was a natural fit for her. She has worked for several companies in the past and in 2012 started her own company, Cabinets by Design.
Not only has she specialized as a kitchen and bath designer, but she has also taught interior design at a community college and currently gives cooking classes at her showroom. Peggy feels blessed to have found a career that she can be passionate about even after so many years in the business.
Kate Freed
Kate is from Sioux City, Iowa, and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Drake University in 2010. While it isn’t a typical design background, her mother’s career as an Interior Designer always kept Kate close to the design world and fueled her passion to one day work in the industry.
During the pandemic, Kate began doing small interior design projects around her home and for friends and neighbors. Soon after, she made the decision to shift from hobbyist to full-time career and was fortunate enough to cross paths with Peggy. Kate has recently become a Floor Plans & Specifications Specialist through the NKBA.
After having a long and winding career path in everything from hair and tanning salons to COO of a financial firm, she has finally found her professional forever home here at Cabinets by Design! s? Say it here.
